Beyond Intelligence...

Updated: Jul 13, 2024

We're in this weird post-nihilistic, techno-optimistic era where everyone's betting on AI to fix everything. It's exciting, but it's also a bit unnerving.

We're seeing something big emerge – like the internet, but with its own intelligence. Here's the thing: we have no playbook for this. It's completely new territory. Sure, it's easy to buy into the "AI will save us" narrative. But we need to ask ourselves: are we writing humans out of the story? What's our role in this AI-driven future? We need a better narrative—one that doesn't just put AI on a pedestal but actually gives meaning to human existence. AI is incredibly powerful, true! But there's more to being a human... I'm pro-human. I believe in a future where we still have agency and where our experiences and emotions matter. But here's the challenge: how do we create that future?

We need to think bigger than just chasing intelligence. What incentives can we create for a future that values human contribution? How might we build systems that enhance our embodied experiences?

The real moonshot isn't just building smarter AI. The most precious commodity might just be an authentic human experience.

The future needs an incentive.

Something that propels us into new realms of meaning and purpose, Something beyond intelligence...
